Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. Summer both offer short-term individual and group counseling, classroom presentations, crisis intervention, and consultation to parents and teachers.

Our small guidance groups focus on varied topics such as dealing with stress, friendships, anger management, bullying, and family changes. Students can sign up for groups or be referred by parents or teachers.

Our focus is to help students learn:

• Skills to resolve conflict peacefully. Mediation is offered.
• Enhanced communication skills.
• Respect for different perspectives.
• Anger management, listening skills, critical thinking, & problem solving.
• Enhanced self-esteem, social skills, & poise.
• Development of skills needed for a multicultural world.
• Respect for self; Respect for others; & Responsibility for all your actions.
